Tots to Teens--Your Golden Stories
This beautiful poem was written by 13-year-old Scarlett P., the granddaughter of our President; it says it all. Scarlett is the young lady in the picture below, sandwiched between two Goldens. Let the Goldens Rejoice
Matted fur
sad brown eyes
staring through a rusting gate
lost within a terrible world
Fat, neglected, maybe even lost
sad, depressed, sometimes crying
needy, helpless, trying to hold on
but slipping into darkness
Loving people
with caring hearts
and tan vests
rescue them and give them new homes
let the Goldens rejoice!
Groomed fur
bright brown eyes
running on a plush green lawn
barking joyfully within a new world
Fit, energetic, home sweet home
happy, bright, always laughing
kind, helped, finally relaxing
have found what they have been looking for all this time
a home and….
Forever Friends
let the Goldens rejoice!
. . . A class project by Saul Guerrero:
This picture doesn't really need a story! Ben wrote to us about his beloved Golden, Cody. We are so sorry for his loss.
Sam lives with two Goldens, many Golden fosters, and his own little terrier, Sassy.

One of our friends, Ben, is just a youngster so we decided to put his blog link on this page. You'll enjoy Ben's sense of humor and his tales of his life with his "peeps" at Life is Better on 3 Legs than 4. |
